You can receive a Tuition Fee Loan from Student Finance England (SFE) if you live in England or a member of European Union, and you have secured a place in higher education for studying your first degree or other higher education course. It is important to note that student’s course fees do not cover the cost of the following: subject books, stationery, printing and photocopying costs, accommodation, living expenses, travel, hobbies, sports or any other extracurricular activities. The money is paid directly to the University by Student Finance England (SFE) so you don’t have to worry about it.
Maintenance Loan:
  • Full-time UK students can also apply for a Maintenance Loan to help towards living costs, such as accommodation, food, books, travel and other expenses. The amount you can borrow depends on where you live, where you study and your household income. Maintenance Loans are paid straight into your bank account and will be transferred in three payment installments at the start of each term. There’s also extra help for students with a disability, including a long-term health condition, mental-health condition or specific learning difficulty, or students who have children or adult dependents.
